Facilities at the Lanzarote Village Hotel

Rooms at the Lanzarote Village Hotel are spacious and, as a result of recent refurbishment, appear fresh, clean and modern. Beds and seating are comfortable; there is plenty of storage space; a flat screen TV (though with limited UK channels) air conditioning and a fridge for keeping your own drinks or snacks cool. A safe deposit box can also be ordered. Many reviews highlight the large, walk in power shower, providing hot water constantly and the very large balconies with two sun-loungers and a table and chairs on them. Some of the hotel’s 213 rooms have sea views: others look onto the garden.

The central public area of the hotel is dominated by a huge pool with a small glass wall around it, preventing toddlers from falling in. There are sun beds in the surrounding sunbathing area, but reviews varied as to whether it was necessary to get up early to reserve one by spreading a towel over it.

Guests praise the quantity and quality of the food at the Lanzarote Village Hotel and advise staying full board, which entitles you to all drinks free until midnight. Meals are served buffet style, with eggs, meat and fish cooked to order and there are Chinese, Mexican and Spanish theme nights.

The two aspects of the hotel that gave rise to most negative comments are the evening entertainment – bingo, karaoke and the occasional show and some guests reporting that the receptionists were unhelpful.
The poor standard of entertainment was often not considered a major issue, because guests almost expected it to be ‘the same rubbish, wherever you go’ and because the town is not far away. Reactions to the reception included both positive and negative comments.

Average prices quoted all year round are in the range £62 – £172 per week.
